"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!

I just stripped out the support for OSX/BSD/Windows and pulseaudio. Other fixes are minimal; just some language here and there and that's it. I do plan on removing more and to see if I can make it simpler, just gotta get around to it.
By the way, I was wanting to ask you about the update-client script. When is it necessary to perform an update?
basically once in a while, i have been planning to make it check for a new version first but i never got around doing it as other small projects IRL kept taking up my time
PS: the OSX/BSD/Windows support was mostly a gimmick as i use the client myself on an usb drive, and updating the official client is a hassle(too many steps)
also i came to your deviantart page through github wish github had a way to send messages to people
