This is my first Gnome Shell Theme. I based the colors on Ubuntu Orange, some glassy looks and a nice gradient black. I started out doing some edits on inconsistent parts I found in the Zukitwo-Shell theme by Lassekongo83 and ended up editing more and more. After a while, I think it was right to give the theme another name and submit it for sharing here.
Big credits to Lassekongo83, most of this work is still his. I only edited colors and added some other pieces from Elementary Shell theme and Ambiance Shell theme.
I think I kinked all the bugs out, but I can't be sure. If you find any, feel free to report them to me and I'll have a look at them. Also, I might still change something about the notifications / tray bar because I think they look kinda big in comparison to the rest of the theme. You will be notified once I update it!
Thanks for downloading my theme guys!
Instructions:
Unpack the tar.gz into ~/.themes and apply the theme either through gnome-tweak-tool or through dconf-editor. Currently, in Fedora, the gnome-shell-extension-user-theme has a bug that prevents you from changing the theme with gnome-tweak-tool. You can manually do this by using dconf-editor. Go to org.gnome.shell.extensions.user-theme and put in the correct name.
This theme was created on Gnome Shell 3.2.1, so it might not work or look different on other versions.
I don't supposed you have (or know of) a good (similar) GTK+ 3 theme to go with this?
I have a screenshot of it in my gallery. You can check it out and if you're interested, I can upload it here for you.
Great work!
I heard its hard to apply themes now with theyr new comand prompt and administration shell.
The 'hard' way to apply themes is to open dconf-editor, go to org.gnome.shell.extensions.user-theme and manually enter the name of the theme you wish to apply.
Thanks for the compliment
umm yeah i tried searching for it in the ppa.. but i could not find it (but found many good ones). i would really appreciate it if you could upload it, or give me a link to it.
thanks for replying.
There you go
